What to expect during a functional nutrition appointment?
-
Before we can create a customized plan to support your health goals, we need to assess your current nutritional status. I will extensively review your medical history, current diet, and lifestyle habits to identify areas where improvements can be made.
-
Based on your unique needs and goals, I will create a personalized nutrition plan that includes recommendations for specific foods, supplements, and lifestyle changes. This plan will be tailored to your preferences and lifestyle, making it easy for you to stick to and achieve your goal.
As nutrition is not just important for maintaining physical health, but also plays a crucial role in supporting mental and emotional wellbeing, we also focus on lifestyle modifications to improve overall health. I help you implement trips and tricks for improving sleep, stress, and physical movement.
-
In some cases, functional nutrition testing may be necessary to identify underlying imbalances or deficiencies that are impacting your health. I offer a range of functional nutrition tests to help identify these issues and create a plan to address them.
Furthermore, I can examine labs that you may have obtained from your PCP with a functional lens on and look for particular patterns which may identify nutrient deficiencies or underlying root causes.
